Am I the only one getting stupidly slow DSL speeds on ATT- Yahoo dsl service ?

Download time from texas to atlanta: 4.5mb ..texas to chicago: 3.1 mb. Varies up and down every speed test.and various locations..never reaches 5.0 Mbps


http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/|||Same here. My download speed hovers around 100KB/s, which is ridiculous for $30/mo. I'm fed up with ATT but there seems to be no better alternative.|||There are many components that could be making your internet seem slow.


1. There are A LOT of people online. (Seems dumb, but it does have an effect sometimes).


2. Your computer is slowing you down.


-Try to delete cookies and any excess files you have laying around your computer.


-Defragment your hard drive.


-Restart your computer.|||i'm right there with you brother


I used to have their "uverse" and it rocks for speed, but ping isn't any better (necessarily)


now I moved out of that range and am stuck with their dsl, does your router reset a lot? i think they're scamming me, either way i'm P'O'd
