Maybe i shoul try to use a different dsl modem|||You can increase your speed by fine tuning your computer. For example, when was the last time you ran disk cleanup or disk defragmenter? Next right click your task bar, select task manager and tell me how many programs you have running. If it is over 42, that is too many and it slows you down. To stop junk from running at startup, if you have XP type "msconfig" in the run box. Then click the startup tab. Uncheck all the boxes and restart.

You may have to recheck some of the boxes if, for example, your printer stops working.|||Download this free program called TCP Optimizer. It lets you optimize your Internet settings in your registry for DSL. DSL is like sharing a highway with allot of people, there will be bottle necks and slow downs, only so much you can do. Chow
