Is my DSL ISP ripping me off?

I'm paying for AT%26amp;T Yahoo High Speed Internet - Business DSL... i test my connection speed every few days, and I am getting 531 kbps download, and 303 kbps upload.. Considering I am paying for their fastest service, at these speeds, am I getting ripped off?|||It is unlikely your upload speed will be faster than your download speed, this is impossible. Re-check the figure. Unless your connection seems very slow the download speed is more likely to be in the Mbps range.|||speed is not guaranteed and is affected by traffic online and how far away you are from the closest switching station or something|||Personally, I think DSL is a ripoff, no matter whose service it is. I'd rather have a connection booster or cable/t-series connections.|||depends on the wireing in the house as dsl runs from your phone line wich is probably old. and traffic on the lines too.your isp also has the rite to throttle your connection when demand is very high.that means if there is a lot of people useing the connection at one time your isp will reduce your bandwith to even out the connections,is it a rip off??depends....i think cable internet is a rip off a sometimes $60 a month.check your phone lines.I stripped out the old lines and replaced with cat5 cable.I now see that a lot of the contractors around here are doing the same..|||You don't say what you're paying for, but that sounds slow to me. I demo-ed Clearwire recently. They offer "up to 1.5Mbps" and that's what I got: 1.5Mbps = 1500kbps. I tested with several different test sites and they all agreed.
