Can i still play PS3 online with basic DSL ?

i tested my DSL speed and it maxs out at like 70-75 kb/s or .68 kbps.

is that good enough ? will it lag ?|||That is fine for some games. Dont play call of duty with that connection or uncharted 2 or bad company.

You would have to play games like MAG or Killzone since they run on lag free servers. Most PS3 exlcusives run on dedicated servers but those are the ones I could think of at this time.|||Maybe you can play some games but be sure it will lag.|||It all depends on the game you're playing and what region you'll be playing in.

Years ago when Battlefield 1942 came out, I played fine on a 512/128 ADSL connection that went no faster than 50kb/sec. Keep in mind, that was 2003-ish, and I was playing within Australia.

The only real answer is to try it for yourself and see how you go.|||In the U.S. a decent DSL speed is roughly 1.0/2/0 Mbps ! I had a dsl isp that ranged between 2.5 to 3.0Mbps and I had no issues playing games online ! But since that time, I went to cable using a 10Mbps connection and it's awesome !
