How do I fix low download speed?

I used to have at least 160kB/s download speed. Suddenly, download speeds are not going higher than 40-42kB/s. I have a DSL line from AT%26amp;T. I've tried doing a speed test and my connection speed has decreased dramatically. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.|||Have you spoken to ATT about any recent issues on their end?|||1.You can install Download Accelerator Plus or utorrent


2.You can change your Static IP address:


Start - Settings - Network Connections - show network connections(if hidden) - right click your network connection - properties - Internet Protocol - properties - change the last number of your IP Address
