Help with Mozilla Firefox?

Help with Mozilla Firefox? Ok I had Firefox running for couple of months and never had any problems. But something happened today and its keep freezing every 10 seconds of so for about 5 seconds than goes to normal. All the time it freezes stops responding than goes to normal than freezes again. It happen after I ran Att Yahoo DSL Speed test through Java, dont know if this have to do with any thing. And after I quit the Firefox its still keeps running in the background and using 100% of cpu. I have to end task it because it doesnt respond. I already uinstalled it and reinstalled like 10 times. Did Windows XP system recovery. Updated to the latest version and nothing works. Its still keeps hanging and freezing every couple seconds or so. And Stops responding when I quit it, and uses 100% of the cpu. How can I fix this?|||Even though you uninstalled and reinstalled there's a folder kept in your user settings. Open my 'my computer'. Click on folder options and choose to show hidden files. Then click down to 'c drive' -%26gt; 'documents and settings' -%26gt; [name of your account] -%26gt; 'application data' -%26gt; 'Mozilla'. Now find the Firefox folder. If you delete it your plug-ins and your bookmarks and your add-ons disappear. Now restart Firefox and your program should work. You will have to recreate all of your settings of course, add the add-ons and the like. But it should work. Good luck.|||I had this problem with Firefox also. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times also, and finally gave up. I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 from microsoft.com (requires valid Windows XP OS or better) and have had it for 2 months now and have absolutely no complaints. I highly recommend it. If you have a bunch of favorites on your favorite menu in Firefox, it will automatically convert over to Internet Explorer.|||run it in safeproof mode (no extensions loaded) and see if that helps

have you intalled any add-on recently?|||Did you try re-installing or updating Java?
