I download torrents (cant stress this enough THE LEGAL STUFF). When my speed is at around 200kbs for a while, it suddenly drops to less then 4kbs. Same with my upload speed. I ran an online speed test to see if my speed is messed up. But it turns out that my internet is fine. I also run PG2 so i don't get corrupt peers. Whats going on? All the trackers appear to be fine too.|||It can be a matter of your internet traffic. Your ISP might be throttling your connection. It's not fully legal or illegal, but it's what they are allowed to do.
By using P2P programs, the company will likely associate you with downloading illegal files. Likely, your ISP is throttling the P2P connection, which would result in randomness in speeds.|||Comcast decided to do throttling to ppl using 70% of their bandwidth now b/c their bandwidth cap wasn't working enough to their needs|||try to uninstall bittorrent and get ultorrent its way better doesnt do that 200 staight to 4kb/s thing.
