Can a phone line splitter be used on DSL to connect 2 computers on high speed?

this is only temporary. can a DSL phone line be split in two to connect 2 computers to the internet. I know a router would be ideal, but this would be only to test a computers ethernet card, drivers, and connection to the internet, can one of those phone line splitters be used? Thanks so much for your help.|||Only possible if only one computer at a time is powered up, this is the same as unpluging one and pluging in the other.|||No, you need an Ethernet hub (router).|||No, you need to have a router plugged into the DSL modem and the computers plugged into the router.|||nope.

if your intention is to test anything, the guy above says it all, only one at a time.

but it seems, you want internet at the two computers but not want a router. you will need two LAN jacks on the main computer and a single LAN jack on other.

you connect the two computers through a CAT5 crossover cable, then, you can share internet.
