How do i maximize my dsl speed?

I currently have the Pro service with att that advertises speeds from 1.5mbps to 3.0mbps but accoriding to dslreport.com's speed test, i am only getting 1.6. What can i do to maximize my speed. I have the modem that came with the dsl package.|||i don't think u can increase the speed of your connection! anywayz i think u can use these free programs such as FLASHGET and DOWNLOAD ACCELERATOR PLUS! they would increase the transfer rate! and try using MOZILLA FIREFOX as a browser, its free and it makes webpages load faster!

If you want more help, mail me or chat with me at "jud.web@hotmail.com"|||You can't do much. Your speed depends on a lot of things. It depends on the local dsl traffic around you at any given time and your distance from your local dsl routing station. The closer you are to this station, the faster your speeds.|||It sounds as if you are on the end of your dls line. If you are then you cannot speed up your computer at all. The further you are away from a hub the less speed you can get.
