My DSL Speed Test results were download=1.57Mbs and upload=632kbs What does that mean? Computer seems slow THX?

Well your DSL speed seems VERY slow, at 1.57 Megabits/second downloading, which is about 201 Kilobytes/second. That's a fifth of a megabyte per second, which is very slow.

Your upload speed is the speed at which the connection allows uploading information, such as requests for a web page.

Your upload speed is 632 kilobits/second, which is 79 kilobytes per second. This is also pretty slow for DSL. Faster than Dial-up, but still slow.|||Those are the speeds your ISP can use for high speed access. Computer may still be slow, but it isn't caused by the internet.
