How to open/forward ports to allow utorrent to operate at max dl speed?

I have been dling demos, mods, and trailers from bitorrent, but it takes forever! I wanna know what i have to do to open or forward ports and how to let utorrent operate faster.








Seedtest.net says my downlaod speed is 900 kb/s


and DSL speed test says i have 400 kb/s(What's up with that aswell?)





So if you have any info on how to fix this then your a god.





I'm using 2wire router if that has anything to do with it.





Thanks!|||All bit torrent clients are p2p.When they are download files they search for available trackers that you need.so to get most of the speed you must open ports.2 ways to do that.


1.if you're using windows xp Sp2 you'll need to add utorrent to the windows firewall exceptions.If you have a other firewall, you must allow all outgoing traffic on TCP and UDP.if that doesn't work try other method.


2.you'll need to go to your modem/router preferences usually it


192.168.x.x.from there you have to forward ports.


Now start utorrent it should be downloading pretty fast.
