My dsl speed is not the upgraded speed?

I upgraded my dsl speed from 1.5 mbps to 3.0 with AT%26amp;T but I am still getting the slower speed of 1.5. I called ATT and after running some tests they are not sure whats wrong so the ATT service guy is coming over to see if I have a line problem at home. Has anyone had this problem before?|||Yes. I had the same problem. Mine was due ti the age of the wires leading from the central office to the house. They were installed underground in the 1920s and replacement would mean digging up two major streets.





Other things that could be causing your problem is bad inside wiring, bad coils at the central office, bad DSL filters or a less likely cause is the modem itself. It could be too old for the higher speeds.
